Mark was the Co-Founder and Executive Chairman of Lumi Technologies a global market leader in the provision of insight and engagement through mobile devices. Lumi was selected in 2013 in the first cohort of pathfinder UK tech growth companies under the Government’s Future 50 programme.
In April 2017, he effected the disposal of a substantial part of this business to Private Equity Group Vespa Capital.
Over his career to date Mark has worked on 42 IPOs and significant secondary capital raisings in a variety of markets.
Mark joined Morgan Stanley as a Financial Analyst in 1986 and was successively Head of Media Research at SG Warburg, Deutsche Bank, JP Morgan and Dresdner Kleinwort. He was rated the top European Media Analyst for nine years by Institutnal Investor and Reuters surveys.
Edward has 35 years’ experience in advising companies and private equity firms on mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, debt and equity capital raisings and privatisations.
Working in senior leadership positions with two of the world’s leading investment banks, he has advised CEOs of companies in the technology, media, industrial, consumer and healthcare industries.
From 1996-2014 he worked for Deutsche Bank based in London, latterly as chairman of the firm’s global corporate finance business. From 1981-1995 he worked in various capacities for SG Warburg Group (now UBS) in the US, Europe and Australia.
Since 2014, he has served on the board of a number of companies in the
commercial and not for profit sector.
Vivek joined Sovereign Partners as an analyst at the beginning of 2015 and since then oversaw the development of their renewables portfolio with a market capitalisation of over £100m.
During his time at Sovereign, his notable achievements included the acquisition of two portfolios which were run concurrently, securing debt funding from multiple lenders totalling in excess of £70m, running financial assessments, due diligence and valuations for over 25 investment opportunities. He was also responsible for managing the portfolio of assets.
Vivek has a Masters Degree in Engineering from the University of Cambridge.
Maria holds Master of Science in Ecology, Evolution and Conservation from Imperial College London. She started her career in finance with Generation Investment Management post which she moved into smaller private equity and impact investing firms in London.
Maria’s experience particularly lies in the areas of fund structuring, investment analysis, business development, client communication and compliance.
At Namier, Maria works with projects specific to healthcare, digital health and nutrition sectors. She especially enjoys working with projects that bring value to the environment and society.
Volker has 25 years’ experience in food, packaged goods and healthcare companies as General Country Manager and as global Chief Marketing Officer.
From 1995 to 2005 he worked in various Senior Marketing roles for Reckitt & Coleman, Henkel Cosmetics and Müller Dairy.
As of 2005 he led the growth of SSL Healthcare International in Middle and Northern Europe before championing the global growth of Durex and Scholl for Reckitt Benckiser.
He is a specialist in turning around ailing businesses as well as accelerating growth for hidden champions and global brands. He has had the commercial lead in numerous mergers and acquisitions in personal care and healthcare.
Andrew has over 30 years’ experience in both large and small organisations, having held senior roles with Australia’s leading telecommunications companies Telstra and Optus before launching 6 separate start-up organisations over a 12-year period.
He launched Australia’s largest commercial property website, PropertyLook, took location technology company Seeker Wireless to the world stage, and was also the CEO of Kred, a social media influencer platform.
Andrew held the role of Global Managing Partner at IBM advising their most valuable clients about new technologies. More recently, he has advised the C-suite of companies such as DHL, Barclays,Vodafone, and Bupa how to navigate an increasingly digital world.
He is also a seasoned TEDx speaker, having presented at 5 separate events and is host of the popular “Practical Futurist podcast” series, and holds a Master of Engineering and an MBA.
Chris is a lawyer with over 20 years’ experience working for investment banks in various in-house legal and front office roles in Hong Kong, Sydney and London.
His 7 years in Asia culminated in him being General Counsel and Head of Legal & Compliance for Credit Suisse’s investment banking division in Australia.
While at RBS he was responsible for all aspects of their distressed and defaulted derivatives portfolio within the Capital Resolution division looking at capital cost, funding, and legal risk.
He also has extensive experience in sourcing, structuring and executing complex transactions driven by capital and funding benefit.
Chris qualified as a Solicitor and had 2 years PQE with Allen & Overy and is also qualified in New South Wales.
